i don't have a job related commute. it makes a huge difference to when i did. instead of ending my work day irritated and disappointed in my fellow man, i just go on home and greet my family sans left-over road rage. it's pretty sweet.
today i had to cross the river tho to big-box shop before the first-in-long-while pilates class. it had been so long in fact that i lost track of my pants.
so i had to deal with some traffic. but i do like the view of the city as you come back o'er the bridge.

bob french
speaking of the point: i meant to share yesterday today. it was all about speedy dogs and cryptic chinese messages. and ground arrows. i have a weakness for graffiti and things painted on concrete surfaces in general.

process: the beginning bit
pictures, top to bottom: the snail and the cyclops (awesome blog!), the rest from flickr a long time ago but i will be very much better at keeping track of photo credits from henceforth (i should know better!!)
...it's always the hard part, before you've drawn the outline. it's also the most vulnerable, with all your senses exposed to grab onto the smallest inspiration- the color of her feathered hat, opening day at the racetrack; the curls on the little boy at the uptown wholefoods; the last movie you saw at zeitgeist, the prospect 1 exhibit in the 9th ward...
so it's all in there, milling about like thanksgiving day dogs until you decide you're ready.
